Farming Opportunities for New Entrants (FONE) Group
Description
Funding supports the Chair’s agreed day rate and associated expenses in line with the Scottish Government Public Finance Manual.
Purpose
To coordinate and maximise opportunities for young and new entrants on public land, explore opportunities within private landholdings, and provide a forum to support the co-development and ongoing refinement of New Entrant policy. To provide complementary governance and coordination support for Scottish Government New Entrant initiatives, including the Scottish Land Matching Service, the Next Generation Practical Training Fund, and the Land-based Pre-apprenticeship Programme.
