Equality duty - mainstreaming report 2023-2025: summary - easy read

Provides an update on the progress we are making to mainstream the equality duty as an employer and decision-maker. It also provides reflection on our progress towards achieving our equality outcomes for the 2021 to 2025 reporting period.


Lessons from 2021–2025 Equality Outcomes

We reviewed the 2021–2025 outcomes. We looked at the progress we had made and what we could do better.

Key lessons included:

  • Make a smaller number of outcomes and focus on the most important themes.
  • Make it easier to measure progress and check how well we are doing.
  • Work together across all areas of the Government and share knowledge to make all services better.

These lessons helped us to make a new set of Equality Outcomes for 2025–2029. For more information about these you can look at the main report.
