Equality duty - mainstreaming report 2023-2025: summary - easy read

Provides an update on the progress we are making to mainstream the equality duty as an employer and decision-maker. It also provides reflection on our progress towards achieving our equality outcomes for the 2021 to 2025 reporting period.


Equality Outcomes

The law says the Scottish Government must publish a set of equality outcomes and report on them regularly. Outcomes are a set of results we want to get from the actions we take.

The policy outcomes aimed to increase equality and diversity in communication, health, employment, information gathering and transport. They also aimed to involve people with lived experience.

The employer outcomes aimed to improve diversity within the Scottish Government’s workforce and make it a more inclusive organisation.
