The Scottish Government wants to make equality, inclusion, and human rights part of all that we do.

This report sets out the work we have done towards this goal. It also sets out the work we still need to do to meet our goals for the future.

This document is a summary of a larger report. If you would like any more detail about anything here, please look at the main report. You can also contact us at MainstreamingEIHR@gov.scot

Equality laws say that public bodies must tackle discrimination. They must give all people equal opportunities and help different groups come together.

Public bodies are organisations that work for the public. These include the Scottish Government, local councils, the Police and NHS.

We want to do more than just what the law says we have to. We want to promote dignity, fairness, and social justice in Scotland.
