Information on the conditions and phytosanitary requirements for the export of Scottish potatoes, where known by country.


Argentina

Seed and ware potatoes (updated 12 December 2023)

Export of seed potatoes to Argentina is only allowed if an application for an import permit is approved.

A Pest Risk Analysis may have to be carried out by the Argentinian authorities as part of the procedure.

The import permit will state the exact phytosanitary requirements.

Microplants

Phytosanitary Certificate issued by the National Plant Protection Organization with the following Additional Declarations:

1) The mother plants of the consignment come from the Nuclear stock Maintenance Unit of SASA.

2) The mother plants of the consignment have been tested by laboratory tests using appropriate diagnostic methods and found free from: Impatiens necrotic spot virus (INSV), Potato leaf roll virus (PLV), Potato mop-top virus (PMTV), Potato necrosis virus (PoNV), Potato virus S (PVS), Potato virus V (PVV), Potato virus Y (PVYc), (PVYN) and (PVYNTN), Potato yellow blotch virus (PYBV), Red clover vein mosaic virus (RCVMV) , Sowbane mosaic virus (SoMV), Tobacco necrosis virus (TNV), Tobacco rattle virus (TRV), Tomato black ring virus (TBRV), Tomato black ring virus (TBRV), Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum, Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus, Dickeya solani, D. dadantii, D. dianthicola and Ralstonia solanacearum Phylotype IIA, Phylotype IIB (except race 2)
