The number of organically farmed pigs has fluctuated between 2018 and 2024. Between 2022 and 2023, there was a 91% decrease to under 1,000 organically farmed pigs in Scotland. This decrease can mainly be attributed to more pig-producing farms being present in 2022 compared with 2023. Pig numbers increased by 17% in 2024 but remained under 1,000.
