An Easy Read version of the Scottish Government's response to the First Minister's National Advisory Council on Women and Girls first Phase Two report. The response addresses each of the 21 Calls to Action included in the report.
Local services
Local councils run many important services, including schools, social care, housing, and community support.
These services have a big impact on women and girls.
The Scottish Government will work in partnership with councils and the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) to make good choices on gender equality.
This means when policies are first being developed:
- thinking about how they will affect different groups of women
- making sure they will meet the needs of different groups of women
