An Easy Read version of the Scottish Government's response to the First Minister's National Advisory Council on Women and Girls first Phase Two report. The response addresses each of the 21 Calls to Action included in the report.
What the Scottish Government says
The Scottish Government agrees with the Advisory Council that more can be done to make women and girls’ lives better.
They say they:
- must make improvements faster
- plan to listen more carefully to women and girls, especially from marginalised groups like the Empowering Women Panel
- be better at:
- using evidence
- how they work with councils
- how open they are with the public
The Scottish Government want to be more honest about what is working well and what still needs to be better.
