8. Audit Scotland Report
In September 2023, Audit Scotland published a report titled Investing in Scotland’s infrastructure which included recommendations regarding reform of the public sector estate, specifically referencing the SSE Programme. The Scottish Parliament Public Audit Committee also considered the report and invited the SSE SRO to attend committee for an evidence session in March 2024. We were glad that the Committee and Audit Scotland welcomed the SSE work, which they would like to see expanded further across the public sector in Scotland. These opportunities to demonstrate progress are welcomed and ensures that the SSE Programme receives the appropriate ongoing assurance scrutiny.
