Single Scottish Estate (SSE) Programme: reflections and progress report
This reflections report showcases what the Single Scottish Estate has achieved in its first two years of delivery, highlighting successes of the programme.
5. Data and Insite System Migration
Accurate and up-to-date data, visible to all participants, is a cornerstone of the SSE Programme to enable collaboration and strategic decision-making to proactively highlight and target opportunities, including determining the direction of any upcoming LBRs.
InSite went live on 31 March 2025 following a successful migration of data from legacy system e-PIMS where public bodies were engaged with the data workstream to update and validate their information ahead of the transition. InSite is a digital asset register developed by Cabinet Office to improve data quality, consistency and interoperability throughout the public sector estate which is vital to the success of the programme.
We are developing our engagement plan, guidance and processes for the use of InSite to enable public bodies to record and make visible information on the location, size and cost of the wider public estate to ensure data is accurate, consistent and available, providing vital insights to drive further efficiencies. We are committed to supporting public bodies throughout this process – please reach out to propertyandconstruction@gov.scot if you need assistance.
