38 The Paris Principles were adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1993.

39 The Commission was first accredited with A-Status in 2010 and then re-accredited in 2015. It is due to be reassessed in 2020. In 2015 concern over inadequate resourcing was raised. This is likely to be raised again in the 2020.
