National Flood Resilience Strategy: Implementation Plan
This Implementation Plan sets out the actions that government, public bodies, local authorities, communities and partners will take over the next four years to deliver Scotland’s National Flood Resilience Strategy.

Blue-Green Infrastructure: Natural and engineered features such as wetlands, ponds, sustainable drainage systems, greenspaces and watercourses that help manage water while providing environmental and community benefits.
Coastal Change Adaptation Plan (CCAP): A plan developed by coastal authorities and partners to prepare for and adapt to coastal erosion, flooding, and sea-level rise.
Flood Advisory Service (FAS): Proposed national service to support improved governance, prioritisation, evidence, and delivery of major flood resilience measures across Scotland.
Natural Flood Management (NFM): Measures that work with natural processes to reduce flood risk, such as restoring floodplains, peatlands, woodlands and river habitats.
