Minimum requirements for the location of Border Control Posts (BCPs): consultation analysis
This report provides an analysis of responses to the public consultation on proposals to amend the minimum requirements for the location of a Border Control Post (BCP).
4. Methods used
The consultation was delivered through an online questionnaire on Citizen Space, using a mixture of open and closed questions to gather both quantitative and qualitative feedback.
12 responses were received for this consultation. These responses were from three key respondent groups: business and industry, Local Authorities (LAs) and individuals. Specifically, three responses were from business and industry, four responses were from LAs, and five responses were from individuals.
The thematic analysis involved mixed-method triangulation to identify patterns of agreement, concerns, motivations and risk perceptions within the individual questions of the consultation. The triangulation provided a rigorous structure and a nuanced understanding and interpretation of the results.
