Minimum requirements for the location of Border Control Posts (BCPs): consultation analysis

This report provides an analysis of responses to the public consultation on proposals to amend the minimum requirements for the location of a Border Control Post (BCP).


3. Summary of consultation methods

A range of sources and evidence informed the development of the consultation paper and its questions. These sources helped ensure that the consultation questions reflected operational experiences with stakeholder concerns and the wider regulatory context. This included:

  • Scottish Government correspondence from individuals relating to biosecurity concerns as well as stakeholder views and subsequent Freedom of Information responses:

  • Published industry positions on current UK border arrangement; and

  • Policy views from across the UK and Devolved Governments.
