Making it simpler

We want to make legal aid simpler. This means less:

  • repeated work
  • forms
  • steps to follow.

Just now there are different types of legal aid. We want to see if they can be made simpler. This would help cases move forward more easily. People should not have to apply or be checked again when this is not needed.

Different people and cases may still need different help. We also need to make sure public money is used with care.
