Fertility preservation provision in the NHS in Scotland: guidance
Scottish Government and NHS Scotland fertility preservation guidance provides recommendations and guidance for clinicians on which patient groups should be considered for fertility preservation treatment and individual eligibility criteria.
Introduction and purpose
The purpose of this document is to set out the principles of provision and criteria for accessing NHS-funded fertility preservation. This document provides guidance and recommendations for clinicians on which patients should be considered for fertility preservation and provides advice on the following:
- patient groups to be considered for fertility preservation
- individual patient eligibility criteria for fertility preservation
- possible fertility preservation treatment that can be offered to patients
