In Scotland, broader innovators were more likely to be exporters compared to non innovators (22.5% of broader innovators are exporters vs 8.2% of non broader innovators). The same pattern is seen for the UK as a whole (28.8% of broader innovators are exporters vs 11.4% of non broader innovators) (Table 21).
Figure 13: Scottish innovation active businesses were more likely to report higher export values than non-innovation active businesses.
