Context for Innovation

 Figure 9: In both Scotland and the UK, ‘improving the quality of goods and services’ was the main driver of innovation.  This was ranked as of high importance by the greatest proportion of businesses. This was followed by ‘replace outdated products or processes’ in Scotland, and ‘Issues related to COVID-19 pandemic’ in the UK.
