Education reform: evaluation strategy 2026 - 2034
This evaluation strategy sets out how the process and impact of the Education Reform Programme will be evaluated over 2026 to 2034 and how progress towards the short, medium and long term outcomes will be reported.
10. Ethics, data protection and risk management
The research will be guided by a RAG to ensure independent and impartial scrutiny of the development of the evaluation and the evaluation outputs. The research will be led by members of the Government Social Research profession who are required to ensure that all research is conducted in accordance with the Scottish Government’s Ethics Guidance for Social Research. Ethics, data protection and risk will be covered at the level of individual research projects where necessary, and risks for the project overall will be managed within the Education Reform Programme’s programme management and governance structure.
