8. What people thought about our plans to have an Action Plan and a toolkit

An Action Plan is a plan showing:

• who does the work
• what they do
• when they will do it

A toolkit is a set of support documents that help give tips and guidance.

We think having an Action Plan and a toolkit will help make change happen.

Half the people who answered agreed that an Action Plan would help.

7 out of every 10 people agreed that a toolkit for public organisations would help make equality and human rights part of every decision.

But some people felt it would be too hard and have too much extra paperwork.

6 out of every 10 people agreed with us that no one should have to write extra reports about equality and human rights.
