Scotland’s Cladding Remediation Programme quarterly management information: June 2026 (Q2)

As at 30 June 2026, the Cladding Remediation Programme was aware that urgent interim measures were in place in 22 buildings, which is an increase of 12 from 31 March 2026. The Single Building Assessment (SBA) specification defines an urgent interim measure as a temporary measure that is put in place to address an immediate risk to human life, that has been deemed unacceptable by the Assessor. These can include measures such as waking watches, installation of fire alarms, and changes to evacuation strategies.
Cladding remediation work funded by Scottish Government was finished for one building in 2024, but as far as the Cladding Remediation programme had been made aware, as at 30 June 2026, further work recommended by the SBA, which the homeowners are responsible for had not been completed. As at 30 June 2026, remediation work was underway in a further two buildings.
