Scotland’s Cladding Remediation Programme quarterly management information: June 2026 (Q2)
This report presents management information for Scotland’s Cladding Remediation Programme to provide an indication of progress.
Part of
Scottish Government funded Single Building Assessments underway
As at 30 June 2026, the Cladding Remediation Programme had been informed that Scottish Government funded Single Building Assessments (SBAs), based on the specification published in June 2024, were underway for 219 buildings, which was an increase of 70 from 31 March 2026. SBAs were underway in ten different local authority areas. Registered Social Landlords were responsible for taking forward SBAs for 121 of these buildings, an increase of four from 31 March 2026, Local Authorities were responsible for taking forward 97, an increase of 66 from 31 March, and a factor or property manager was responsible for the other one (no change from 31 March).
Of the 219 buildings where SBAs were underway, 140 (64%) of them were estimated to be 18m or over in height and 79 (36%) were estimated to be 11-18m in height. Please note, one SBA might cover multiple buildings/ expressions of interest made via the Single Open Call; see the Data, methodology and limitations section for more details.
Figure 4 shows that as at 30 June 2026, almost half (49.3%) of buildings where Scottish Government funded SBAs were underway were in Glasgow City, but figure 3 shows that Glasgow City Local Authority had not received any funding to carry out SBAs. This is because Glasgow City transferred its social housing stock to Registered Social Landlords in 2003.
