This resource has been developed to support staff working in general practice. It is intended to help all staff contribute to the link worker function within the Services, by providing a directory of additional sources of help and support, that people can be connected in with.

21.1 The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB)

The RNIB Scotland works on behalf of all people in Scotland with sight loss.

21.2 Macular Society

The Macular Society offers information and counselling services within the field of sight loss.

21.3 Eye Scot

Eye Scot Support Workers/Eye Care Liaison Officers are available in many areas to provide emotional support to people affected by sight loss.

21.4 Royal National Institute for Deaf People

The Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) works on behalf of people in Scotland and the UK with hearing loss.
