13.1 Ready Steady Baby

Advice on health and wellbeing, including relationships and mental health is available at NHS inform, Ready, Steady, Baby.

13.2 The Women and Families Maternal Mental Health Pledge

The Pledge was developed by women with lived experience and sets out expectations around perinatal mental health care. There is more information at NHS inform.

13.3 The Scottish Perinatal Mental Health Care Pathways

The Scottish Perinatal Mental Health Care Pathways have been developed to help women, their infants and families, access the most appropriate specialist perinatal and infant mental health care should they require it. This care should be available wherever a woman lives in Scotland. For referrers and service providers, they should help guide the development of pathways into care which are responsive to the needs of their local population and service organisation.

13.4 The Voice of the Infant Best Practice Guidelines and Infant Pledge

The Best Practice Guidance explains how to take account of infants’ views and rights in all encounters they may have with professionals in statutory or third sector services.

The Infant Pledge sets out what infants should expect from those around them. It encourages mindful commitment to facilitate infants to express their feelings, and to consider their views, uphold their rights and take action accordingly.

More information about the Voice of the Infant Best Practice Guidelines and Infant Pledge, can be found here.
