Healthcare Associated Infection strategy - second phase deliverables impact assessment: progress report - March 2025
Progress report documenting the work progressed and completed to drive the successful delivery of the Healthcare Associated Infection (HCAI) strategy.
5. Performance Management
The performance of the strategy is monitored by regularly reviewing the progress of each deliverable.
The Scottish Government’s deliverables are monitored and tracked by an internal activity log with regular updates being provided to stakeholders on each deliverable.
National Boards provide either monthly or six-weekly reports on their specific deliverables to the Scottish Government. These reports are followed by a meeting with the Scottish Government and the respective Board to highlight progress to date and discuss any challenges or barriers which might impact the timelines to complete deliverables.
While the formal process for reporting progress on the new deliverables for Territorial Boards has yet to be finalised. The Scottish Government plans to engage regularly with the Scottish Executive Nurse Director group, within their HCAI Executive Lead role, to monitor and discuss the progress of the relevant deliverables.
