1. Introduction
The Progress Report is a publication that documents the work progressed and completed to drive the successful delivery of the HCAI Strategy.
The first part of this report covers progress made in relation to the HCAI Strategy that was published in June 2023. The HCAI Strategy runs from 2023 to the end of 2025 and the information in this report provides an update on the progress of the strategy to date.
The second part of this report includes an overview of the process to develop new deliverables for phase two of the strategy, including an internal review, stakeholder engagement and undertaking the initial impact assessment screening for the newly developed deliverables.
Some of the deliverables in the first phase of the HCAI Strategy have been completed, with the remaining due to be completed over the course of the second phase and by the end of 2025. The second phase has introduced further deliverables for NHS Scotland’s Boards as well as several high-level deliverables for social care settings. The second phase deliverables were published in a Director’s Letter on 21 November 2024. The Director’s Letter can be found here: Directors Letter HCAI Strategy Second Phase Deliverables.
