Trafficking and Exploitation Strategy 2025: partial business and regulatory impact assessment

Partial business and regulatory impact assessment 2025 for Scotland’s Trafficking and Exploitation Strategy 2025.

Section 5: Next steps and implementation

Recommendations/preferred options

The Strategy will be delivered through the four outcome areas listed in section 1 above, with support from key stakeholders and partners. The activities will be set out in the accompanying Strategy Delivery Plan. Key areas of focus will continue to include victim support, prosecution of perpetrators, preventative actions and improved evidence and data-sharing.

The Minister for Victims and Community Safety has approved the revised Strategy.

Implementation considerations/plan

As noted above, the delivery plan will be published following stakeholder engagement which will involve a series of workshops and by providing written feedback on drafts of the plan. Implementation of the Strategy is the responsibility for all of Scotland and will therefore aim to involve public, third and private sectors in anti-trafficking activities and increasing TISC compliance through awareness raising and voluntary initiatives.

Post implementation review

Indicators to be used for monitoring and evaluation purposes will be produced as part of the delivery plan. The Strategy must be reviewed three years following publication (2028).
