Farming Opportunities for New Entrants Group (FONE): information pack
Information on the Farming Opportunities for New Entrants group and links to relevant programmes and organisations for new entrants into agriculture.
Foreword from the Chair
The Farming Opportunities for New Entrants (FONE) group was created by the Scottish Government to find and develop opportunities on publicly owned land for New Entrants. Since its creation, the focus of the group has expanded.
The group now governs key areas of New Entrant support provided by the Scottish Government and advises and supports New Entrant policy for the Scottish Government and non-governmental organisations.
Today, FONE is made up of key representatives across the agricultural sector who meet to discuss opportunities and challenges facing New Entrants, and how the sector can work together and with the Scottish Government to support New Entrants.
I would like to thank the committed members of the FONE group for their dedicated work that has resulted in the achievements detailed within this document.
Henry Graham
