Equality Impact Assessment for Scotland’s Trafficking and Exploitation Strategy 2025
Title of policy
Scotland’s Trafficking and Exploitation Strategy 2025
Summary of aims and desired outcomes of Policy
Scotland’s second Trafficking and Exploitation Strategy, as provided for under the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015, builds on the original Trafficking Strategy which was published in 2017. The second Strategy sets out a public health approach to this issue.
The vision/aim of the Strategy is to prevent human trafficking and exploitation in Scotland and to respond effectively when it does occur.
This will be achieved by providing a clear framework [Strategy and subsequent Delivery Plan], informed by survivor voices and data, through which our anti-trafficking interventions will be delivered.
