Consultation analysis
3. Reason for Consultation
The 2006 Regulations require, on a five yearly cycle, the Scottish Government to produce strategic noise maps and thereafter prepare an Agglomerations Noise Action Plan, based on the results of the noise mapping. This noise action plan is then consulted upon. This is the fourth cycle of noise mapping and action planning, with the noise maps published on the SE website. The Agglomerations Noise Action Plan will focus on five agglomerations – namely Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Falkirk, and Glasgow.
