10. What happens next?
The consultation will run for eight weeks from opening, after which consultation responses will be evaluated and where appropriate the Draft Agglomerations Noise Action Plan for Scotland will be amended. It is anticipated that the noise action plans will be formally approved 2025.
The Action Plan will be then valid for five years from the date it is adopted, as set out in the 2006 Regulations. If a major development occurs within the five year period, which affects the approved Agglomerations Noise Action Plans, the plan will be reviewed and revised if necessary.
