1 Public local inquires (PLI) into CPO objections are run by Reporters who work in the Scottish Government’s Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals (DPEA).

2 Respondents were not always specific about the role intended for a Reporter/ DPEA (for example, to always hold a PLI or consider every relevant CPO regardless of the need for further procedure).
