Violence Prevention Framework for Scotland: CRWIA screening sheet
This child rights and wellbeing impact assessment (CRWIA) assesses the potential impact of the Violence Prevention Framework on children’s rights under the UNCRC and their wellbeing.
5. Is a Children’s Rights and Wellbeing Impact Assessment required?
Officials consider that a CRWIA was not required for the National Violence Prevention Framework
The delivery of the framework is not a statutory responsibility of the Scottish Government. Delivery of the Framework is through funded partner organisations. The Grant Offer Letters for their funding stipulate that they must consider steps that might further promote and protect the rights of children and young people, consistent with the requirements of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) as this relates to the Grantee’s areas of responsibility.
We assess that a full CRWIA is not required. The Framework aims to benefit the population, regardless of age.
