What’s next and what does this mean for you

We have published a more detailed plan alongside this one which tells everyone a lot about what we are going to do to stop children living in poverty and help every child to have the best life. You can read that plan if you want to know more.

Working with local councils, charities and others, we are going to work very hard to make sure all the things in this plan happen.

We will also continue to think about what else we need to do to help families. We will tell people what more we will do through ‘annual progress reports’ which we will publish by the end of June each year.

This plan is just the start. We will continue to talk to children, young people and their parents to make sure we are doing the right things.

We want Scotland to be the best place in the world for children and young people to grow up. By working to stop children living in poverty, we can make life better for you and your friends.
