Animal slaughter: guidance on the use of mandatory CCTV

Guidance to help business operators of slaughterhouses comply with the Mandatory Use of Closed Circuit Television in Slaughterhouses (Scotland) Regulations 2020.

You may appeal if you think that you should not have received an enforcement notice. The CCTV Regulations state that an enforcement notice is not suspended pending an appeal unless the sheriff orders otherwise.

Information on how to appeal will be in the enforcement notice.

An appeal must be made to the Sheriff Clerk within 28 days of the issue of an enforcement notice.

Regulation 7(3) allows a Sheriff to award expenses for appeals made against enforcement notices.
