Universal Credit Scottish Choices – management information to March 2026
Management information on the number of Universal Credit (UC) recipients in Scotland who were offered, and who took up, UC Scottish choices.

Offers of Scottish Choices are valid for 60 days, after which time they are assumed to have been refused.
Over the lifetime of the scheme, MFP offers are mostly accepted within four days; for DPL arrangements, the majority accept within three days.
Chart 5 shows the average time to accept an offer each quarter since 2021. Over the lifetime of the scheme, the average time taken to accept an MFP offer is 9.3 days, and the average time taken to accept a DPL offer is 7.9 days. This illustrates that while most choices are made quickly, a large minority take a number of weeks.
