Summary of Public Sector Equality Duty needs

When considering findings against the three Public Sector Equality Duty needs it was found that there would likely be no negative impacts over protected characteristics. It is likely that impact and legacy activities and wider benefit realisation activities will likely have positive impacts in advancing equality of opportunity and promoting good relations in areas of Age, Disability, Sex, Race, Religion or belief.

Regarding the elimination of unlawful discrimination across protected characteristics, while we expect the impact and legacy programme and wider benefits work will support furthering equalities, it would be unreasonable to assume that this work would directly eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
