Scottish Welfare Fund Statistics: update to 31 March 2026
The annual update of Scottish Welfare Fund Statistics for 2025-26. This includes annual statistics on Community Care Grants and Crisis grants from 2013, as well as quarterly breakdowns from 2021.

There were 3,285 Tier 1 reviews for Community Care Grants (down by 12% compared to 2024-25), and 7,930 for Crisis Grants during 2025-26 (Table 55), an increase of 1% from the previous year. Under half of decisions were revised for both Community Care Grants (41%) and Crisis Grants (36%) (Table 57).
During 2025-26, around 77% of Tier 1 reviews for Community Care Grants were made within the 15 working day target, while around 81% of Tier 1 reviews for Crisis Grants were made within the two working day target (Table 59).
