Satisfaction with Local Authority Cultural Services in Scotland (2024)

Satisfaction with Local Authority cultural services (2024)
Since 2007, questions have been asked on the frequency of use and satisfaction with three local authority cultural services (libraries, museums and galleries and theates and concert halls)[1].
This report presents the reported levels of satisfaction (including users and non-users of these services) in Scotland from the 2024 Scottish Household Survey.
Data is available for satisfaction with Local Authorities cultural services by Local Authorities and between demographic groups. Satisfaction data amongst all adults is available for most protected and socio-economic characteristics (see Tables 9.2 - 9.13 in the supporting excel workbook). Data on users’ views alone is only available for gender and age (see Tables 9.15 - 9.16 in the supporting excel workbook).
However, in some tables percentages may have been removed from cells and replaced with [u]. This is where the base is less than 50 and such data are judged to be insufficiently reliable for publication. Estimates with base numbers close to 50 should also be treated with caution, as even though these estimates have been published, they are subject to high levels of sampling error and have a high degree of uncertainty around them.
[1] Satisfaction data includes responses from both those who have used services and those who have not.
