Shows progress against commitments in our action plan to make it easier for small businesses and third sector organisations to win public contracts.
Stakeholder engagement
Our engagement strategy comprises is made up of:
- one-to-one engagement
- quarterly meetings with heads of procurement, public procurement group and procurement supply group
- round table events
- Scottish Government forum meetings
- Scottish Government presence at events to support information sharing and networking
Each part plays a role in identifying barriers, working together to create solutions, and developing relationships between public sector buyers and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Third Sector bodies.
This wide-ranging engagement approach shows our commitment to moving the SME and Third Sector Procurement Action Plan forward in a way that's open, inclusive, and hands-on. By building trust, listening to a range of voices, and sharing what works, we're working towards a public procurement system that's easier to access and aligns to the Public Procurement Strategy for Scotland.
