Part of
How we will use this
We will use what we have heard to improve the website Care Information Scotland.
We hope this will make it easy for people to find clear and up-to-date information.
You can access this information online, by phone or webchat.
We are also developing a national framework to help renew health and social care services.
National framework means a set of guidelines for all of Scotland.
The national framework will make sure everyone gets fair access to the support they need.
We plan to publish the framework before the end of June 2025.
We have set up the Access to Social Care Support Services External Working Group.
This group will help design fairer ways for people to get support, based on their needs.
We will build on the reopening of the Independent Living Fund (ILF).
We will work with ILF Scotland, Disabled people’s organisations (DPOs) and others to do this.
Our aim is to make it easier for human rights based organisations to access funding.
We are changing the eligibility criteria to take a human rights based approach.
This will allow the assessments to be built on real conversations.
