GDP Monthly Estimate: March 2026

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) statistics measure changes in the output of the economy. This is an Official Statistics in Development publication for Scotland.


Scotland’s onshore GDP is estimated to have shown growth of 0.1% in the three months to March, compared to the previous three month period (the three months to December). This follows a no change (0.0% growth) in the three months to February 2026 and in the three months to January 2026.

 

Figure 1: After being predominantly flat in 2023, underlying GDP has been growing since the start of 2024.
