Legal support for children's rights: grant funding
Grants for law centres to provide legal advice and representation for children and young people. Closed for applications.
Overview
We are providing grant funding to help children and young people access legal support and enforce their rights.
Two grants are available for law centres:
- grant 1: legal support and representation - up to £233,000
- grant 2: targeted support for children in socio-economic disadvantage - up to £50,000
You can only apply for one grant, individually or in partnership with another organisation.
Both grant funds are closed for applications.
Why we have this funding
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) Act strengthens children's rights in Scotland. The Children's Rights Scheme, published in 2025, commits us to funding independent legal support for children and young people.
