9. Staff training and safety
Local authorities have statutory health and safety duties to their staff and policies on training to ensure staff have the requisite skills and knowledge. The inclusion of this section is intended to ensure that staff training and safety is embedded and to acknowledge that both are fundamental to the delivery of the Code.
