GDP First Quarterly Estimate 2026 Q1 (January to March)

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) statistics measure the output of the economy in Scotland.


In 2026 Quarter 1 (January to March), Scotland’s GDP grew by 0.1% in real terms compared to 2025 Quarter 4, following growth of 0.2% in Quarter 4. Over 2026 Quarter 1, GDP for the UK as a whole grew by 0.6%.

At the broad sector level in the latest quarter, output in the services sector grew by 0.2%, output in the production sector contracted by 0.5%, output in the construction sector grew by 0.4% and output in agriculture, forestry & fishing contracted by 0.7%.
