Easy read version of the Equality and Human Rights Mainstreaming Strategy. This strategy sets out the Scottish Government’s approach to embedding equality and human rights into everything it does across government and encouraging the same approach across the wider public sector.
1. What the Strategy is
The Equality and Human Rights Mainstreaming Strategy is the Scottish Government’s plan to make equality and human rights part of all that we do.
The Strategy is supported by an Action Plan and an online toolkit that set out our plans for equality. This Strategy will be used by the government and other organisations.
We made this after asking people what they want. People told us they want better tools, one place to go for information and more practical help.
It is based on what we were told by communities, organisations, and people with lived experience of inequality. Their voices were part this work.
