Errata

Police Scotland have identified that the previously supplied figures presented in Tables 18a, 18b, 18c for Recorded Police Warnings (RPWs) contain some classification errors with respect to “Other sexual crimes”. Whilst a review of the data remains ongoing, we believe it is likely that no RPWs were issued for ‘other sexual crimes’ in 2020-21 and the two preceding years. Updated figures for 2020-21 are being prepared, and an erratum with further background information will be produced as soon as possible following release of the 2021-22 Criminal Proceedings Statistics on 24th October. We will inform users when the revised tables and final advice on this issue has been published. Until then please treat these figures with caution.

An errata was published on 6th April 2023 as a result of changes to Table 9b of the “Criminal Proceedings in Scotland 2020-21 - Final Main Bulletin tables”. The supporting file has been updated to reflect these changes.
