What happens next?

The current system has been in place for several years. We want to know if it still meets the needs of students, colleges and universities.

The income level to get the Part-time Fee Grant (PTFG) has not changed since 2014. We want to know if this is fair to lower income students.

The consultation will help us find out how different types of study are being funded. How support with the cost of living might change how people choose to study. What the main benefits are to part-time and flexible study.

We want to know more about the current support systems for disabled students. We also want to hear views on how the Scottish Government’s funding should be used to help disabled students access further and higher education in Scotland.
