Quality management approach
Scottish Government quality management approach
The overall quality management approach for Scottish Government statistics is published by the Office of the Chief Statistician and can be found here Quality Management Policy
CAD quality management approach
Information on data sources, coverage, timeliness and accuracy is included in the ‘Data and Methodology’ sections of individual statistical releases (e.g. Private Sector Rent Statistics, Scotland, 2010 to 2025).
For the Scottish Household Survey, a methodology and fieldwork outcomes report is published annually, in addition to ad hoc data quality reports exploring particular issues in more depth.
CAD is represented on the Government Statistical Service (GSS) Housing Statistics Steering Group, along with other statisticians from the devolved administrations, with a view to improving the coherence and accessibility of UK housing statistics.
