Cereal and oilseed rape harvest - first estimates: 2025

Initial estimates of area, yield and production for winter and spring barley, wheat, oats and oilseed rape, for the 2025 harvest.

A large increase in wheat production

Wheat production is predicted to increase to 1,019 thousand tonnes. This is a 23% increase compared to 2024, resulting from a predicted 12% increase in yield and a 10% increase in sown area.

Variations in yield are reported between different soil types, affecting harvest results at farm level and across planted areas on farm.
